but don’t idols literally know and encourage shipping? i agree fans shouldn’t be weirdoes but is chenle actually uncomfortable? i doubt he’d be all over js’ vlive like he was today or literally guessed the fan was a chenji shipper. shipping is clearly a joke to him and he seems to have fun with it and has fun poking the fans about it. again agree fans shouldn’t over step boundaries but it’s hard for me to see how idols aren’t complicit in shipping when clearly they are. again chenle was literally online today having fun and teasing the chenjists. it’s clearly just a joke to him and if anti rps fans are gonna come for shippers they need to start holding idols who do fanservice accountable too
y'know what? This is a fair point and I do agree with you. I believe that most if not all idols are acutely aware of fan service and do encourage shipping. But, and this is just my own opinion, I still wouldn't personally talk to said idol about it in a fancall when there are dozens of other things I could talk to him about. Whether it's for the sake of not making him uncomfortable or not, I just don't think it's a good idea... But I can definitely see why you think the way that you do. It shouldn't be taken as seriously as it is by some people TT
Also, I think most anti-rps people don't think about things like this, unfortunately, because it's far too easy for them to just hate on shippers instead of using their critical thinking skills :/
