sorry i have a hard time having sympathy for idols when they encourage the shipping. dream themselves ship each other like they loved to push the jensung thing even though it clearly made jisung and especially jeno uncomfortable but they didn’t care because clearly shipping is just a joke to them. they’re not out here grabbing each other’s asses and staring at eo to get fans riled up and kissing eo’s cheeks or saying “romantic” stuff and couple posting eo on insta or to each other because they don’t know about shipping. as someone who’s seen gay people in kr online talk about how much they dislike idol member fanservice because it’s obviously done on purpose and done as a joke i don’t see how idols are victimless in the insane shipping culture we have now. they encourage it and they absolutely are even taught and encouraged by the company to do it as well
You don't have to apologize, I understand your point of view! And I can understand why fanservice can cause you to feel this way. It makes sense. Idols are paid to queerbait, and I can see how that would be unsavory to actual gay people living in kr. For me, I just try not to take it seriously because if I do take it seriously – I'm giving it more power and meaning than it needs to have if that makes sense? I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself well, sorry about that. ^^'
