I actually DO take off my tail Everytime I go in the car! That’s why I like that the waggy tail has a backplate bc it’s easier to just, slide it on and off, BUT for fursuit like tails w a belt attachment I will push it up or off to the side!! Tbh comfort is most important for me (ultimately why I wear a tail! So if the tail is making me uncomfortable, sorta defeats the point, so for car rides I think it’s worth it hehe) 2) I have a special elastic belt that I made! It’s literally just The Tightest an elastic can be against my body, sewn into a loop! It needs to strong enough to hold up the weight so it’s rlly tight, but then it lets me wear my tail with anything! Even naked :D! And for 3) I try to be suuuuper aware of my surroundings, if I enter a shop that has a bunch of shelves and shit I can knock off, I’ll hold the tip of my tail next to me! And if it’s a rlly small store I’ll just take it off and put it back on :3 I try to be on my best behavior so that way the store owners aren’t worried and have 0 negative association w furries/animal ppl 😭I’d hate to accidentally clear off a shelf w my tail and then the person in the store forever tells ppl to not wear tails inside their place 😭😭😭 I literally just hold it still bc it’s not worth it

I’ve been wearing collars as an accessory ever since I was capable of! When I was really really little I would make myself paper collars and laminate them in tape to be able to wear em without papercuts (like in kindergarten) and once I entered middle school I used to wear a collar with my keys on it!! So to me collars are so much more associated with dog otherkin/therian feelings rather than just strictly kink!
