Do you use refs for your nsfw art? If so, do you have recs for reference websites?
yeah! i answered this on my old curiouscat but i'll x-post the answer here:
I tend to prefer a pinup-y/posed look. filmed porn helps me figure out a pose logistically but i usually study & reference more directly from a more static material like photography so ymmv if that's not the look you're going for with your own work
- @/oldmasc is a fav that posts a lot of vintage photography (though specific subject matter as u can see, also they post a LOT daily so maybe mute so your tl isn't filled) edit: their old account got blown up, theyre now @/theoldmasc i beieve
- http://magzdb.org/ site's in russian but a lot of old magazine scans I find here
- gaysexpositions.guide my beloved
- the super pose book series is great if you can find scans of them, they're nude photo ref books I believe are by the same people who do the real action pose series, or at least very similar presentation... better honestly for learning anatomy in general than specifically for porn but still great
- twitter has made finding people who make irl content nigh impossible lately at least for me? but of course if you can get around that, people on here who post themselves & boost other people's work will get you much more varied results (& you can support them more directly)
- i haven't used it very much until recently but reddit can be good for finding specific and self-posted photos for ref

iii honestly have a ton of brushes downloaded and I switch them around a lot, so it's a bit hard to keep track of unfortunately. I also lower the resolution of my drawings and turn the brush size - pressure sensitivity very low, almost off altogether when I draw.

If you could change/add a character design aspect to any of the dunmeshies what would you wanna add i love your character designs
fun question, and thank you! hmm, i am pretty into how characters look canonically to be honest. I like designs that are simple but still effective/descriptive, and of course the artist is very good at that. they all feel like they have the 'right amount' of details to me. (though the toudens, marcille and kabru are the only characters i've drawn so far, and different takes on designs usually come to me when i draw characters myself depending on whatever makes drawing them more fun).
I like drawing falin with a (story spoilers?) ovt yvmneq gnvy jura fur'f ovcrqny ntnva & different posture because of it, and ig that i headcanon her and laios having more similar body types than they do in canon. & i make marcille a little lankier than she is in canon...

opal is super cool and idk if you or the previous anon are aware of them, but current strap tech is up to half of the way there (tho a bit costly) reelmagik and emisil have the most realistic pack n' plays that kind of look just like slapping a dick on, transaesthetics covers a good range of individual functions too and are a lot cheaper - sorry weird point of interest on my part in that regard, i seriously love your character designs, every valdés post is such a treat!

yes to all four. in a lore sense the power of fear is really central to the ~magic system~ in his setting, & on a more 'just him personally' level he'd find someone who's scared of him while still pushing their luck enough to engage with him anyways really fun to toy with. people keep asking me to draw him biting somebody... i gotta....
