Oh boy, here come some of the political thoughts i have about this

I don't use tiktok and it's not banned in my country.
While i can see the bad effects it can cause to some like people struggling to focus & leading to them having a shorter attention span, seeing everything as "content", losing the capacity to do their own research because they over-rely on an algorithm that can lead them to misinformation, it's also a shame because we all know that tiktok is not banned in the US for that but to limit the capacity of US citizens to be informed and organizing on important political subjects.

If it wasn't for tiktok, people wouldn't be as aware about the atrocities palestinians are subjected to, how capitalism/technofeudalism is screwing them over, how a lot of people may share a similar sentiment over a rich ceo getting murked in the street for perpetrating a system that cause thousands to die over health issues that could be accomadated or resolved in a country that has a free public healthcare while getting their money stolen by his & his friend's companies...
Tik tok ended up being a radicalizing tool for many who hopes for a better future and people in power can't have that.
And we can also talk about the sinophobic attitude & they can't have China steal your datas (which is eyerolling knowing they let other social medias do it but it's fine since it's american. Tiktok is also a company from Singapour)

It makes the fact that Rednote, an actual chinese app, is taking off due to the result of the ban even more funnier & it's nice to see the new userbase, who mostly seems to see thru all the bs behind what politicians are spouting, & the chinese one seemingly get along & have fun memeing about being each other spies & sending pictures of their cats. I hope this will go on & remain civil for a while & counter the sinophobic sentiment some western governments are trying to impose on their populations.

_ Her Northern continent's role getting a mythril mine level of revamp & expension: replace her silly scene in Icicle that doesn't contribute to the plot by having her going to the Northern Cave with Rufus, Scarlet & Hojo. If Rufus need a Turk escort to go to the Golden Saucer, pretty sure he def would need one when there's so many Shinra VIPs in one of the most dangerous place of the Planet.

_ Same for Wutaï. Tie it to the geopolotical state of the world and to the Sarruf/Avalanche plot. A pay-off to all her questionning orders & motives. Elena & her POV as a newcomer is perfect for that.

_ Her having a solo boss battle where she get to showcase further her progress as fighter & hopefully give her a more epic moveset. Also bring back the fact she has the biggest battle stats from the team from her OG boss fight to showcase the contradiction that she is a girfailure that has an insane potential by the end of part 3. Also more showcase of her intelligence too.

_ Her pre-Turks story & motivations coming into play. Her past is what define her role in the current period of the story.

_ That we get to finally learn her thoughts about Platefall and all the conspiracy that have been going on. She is from Midgar's slums after all and I think not showcasing her whether she knows or will learn what's going on behind the scenes contribute to make her feel excluded from the team narratively & from the pov of the audience.

_ Her meeting her sister again.

_ Learning where was she up to between the destruction of Zirconiade & her first apparition in the mines, as she confirms in some dialogue in the mines that "she's not that new"

_ More scenes & actual conversations with Rufus because he needs someone to bounce off. I'm sorry but his interactions with the other Turks have been boring so far & he has to be more cautious with the Board outside showcasing bits of individual characterization. Elena however is curious & stubborn and she ultimately need reasons as to why she would stick with Rufus after all that shitshow and why he clearly decide to trust her, listen & go along her propositions post-story despite the fact she's the newest member of the group.
And also want for her to have someone around who would enjoy chatting with her instead of closing off like Rude or Tseng do. And from Rufus' interaction with Glenn or his Dissidia counterpart with Ramza & Agrias, Rufus can be honest when people poke him right & enjoy chatting with people who knows how picks his interest & befriend them.

_ Character developpment where she learns to compromise & make the right decisions

_ Her potentially being the Turk who find Rufus after Diamond WEAPON blasting his office.

In any case, anything to remind people Elena's an important member of the Shinra kabal & make her character matter to the story as a whole.

Prob would have kept working some jobs in Wall Market or prob try to climb the corporate ladder with Shinra because of her grades for a job she wouldn't be passionnated about as she's rather aimless & lost in BC ( she had the energy of someone who knows she had to join the Turks one day but refused the call until the events of the game) However the events of BC would prob make it that she would be in constant danger from Shinra because she's related to a Turk but is also a witness to some of the Turks-Avalanche mess ( and we know Shinra's tendencies to obliterate anything or anyone potentially leaking their secrets)

One of my bit twisted hc I like to think Rufus' father would prob have been interested in her & use the fact she was one of the top scoring students of the military school to propose her a job as one of his secretaries or executive assistants.
And knowing he has a type for blonde women around her age, well ( Annette Townshend was around 18 y old when she became Shinra sr's mistress since she was barely in her mid-thirties in TKAA) Added to that, having her around would have been a good way to keep the Turks in line as she's related to one of them.

I can also see Rufus swooping in & recruiting her before he gets an hand on her, using the fact he prob had his staff reduced while "in buisness trip" as a justification to take her away & covering all his bases with the Turks by providing some protection for her while also being a potential bargaining chip.Rufus would also need his own security & agent if he failed to save the remaining Turks as well.
So even without being a Turk, I think she ultimately would have ended up being a personnal assistant/bodyguard for one of the Shinras because the tracks were ultimately leading her that way.

If you're into more shippy stuff, you can even take the road of a fake,(maybe with some feelings turning real if you feel like it) dating AU between the events of BC and OG to show how far they are willing to go to protect each other from Shinra sr while planning to save the Turks.

Personal preference combined with a lack of skills 🥲

I struggle at drawing interactions & well, drawing a kiss is probably one of the most difficult thing to draw because a small mistake can cause the whole drawing to fall apart.
So I try to focus on other things. I think it's also a mix of a part of me wanting to explore & focus on the intimacy of a relationship without necessarily focus on kissing and sex tho I still enjoy seeing & doing some horny art & think Ruiri is a really horny ship.
But with characters that have dangerous lives, I like the idea of them enjoying slower moments, give them pockets of peace. And I like to think they click as friends/partners-in-crime as much as lovers/partners because they have so much in common, from their life experiences, personnality to tastes.

I also enjoy doing character, dynamic & story explorations with them as well

but ngl there's also lingering fear of backlash lol (even if it's not really founded) or turning off the few people who still followed me after I jumped ship or that people just won't care.

I listen to any kind of genre as long the music is good ( except maybe old french variety and mainstream music) tho I tend to lean a lot on rock, metal, electro music a lot of time.
