I hope you don't mind about this but I'm a little bit curious about your opinion. I'm writing a fic right now and there is a part where the main character recall when he and the love of his life spent time together (like normal day being next to each other) but then something happen (not dramatic at all) and he relised that well this is the signal we should stop this relationship and move on. I don't know, I want it to be light, not dramatic at all, just the moment you know that this is not gonna last long kind of vibe. I hope you can share me your thought about it and give me some inspiration. I love you and thank you so so much 🫶

I'm flattered you came to me to ask that. This is only how I would do it. I'll probably write the where he remembers their day to day lives then the action happens and I'll go deep with how it makes the main character feel. For example, he sees it happen but feels at peace with the realisation, he tries to rationalise his feelings and even if it hurts he thinks about how to live his life without the love interest. The way I read what you tell me I feel a lot of defeat in your main character. After it depends on how you'll proceed with the story, if it really is the end then you can make the character feel like a weight he didn't know was there lifted off his chest. But if the love interest is going to be fighting for it then the character is just trying to convince himself despite wanting to hold on. Hope I could help you with that, you can always dm me if I completely missed the point lmao ill be more than happy to speak more on that ❣️
