I want to make Choso/Mahito content, is it considered problematic or is it allowed?

when you host an event i support setting any boundaries you want, but do you understand why people may think you contradict yourself when you singled out a specific pair? choso x eso or kenjaku would also be an incest ship, there are a whole host of characters choso could be deemed "problematic" with. i can't speak for other people but if you're holding a character theme week and don't want to moderate entries that could have problematic themes you could have just put "no ship themed art". i'm not proship or anti but the way you've been liking really nasty comments while simultaneously acting like you didn't play any part in instigating shippers left a really bad impression of yourself and the event you're trying to curate.
We didn’t mean to single out a specific pair, we used it as an example. The whole thing didn’t even start because of a ChoToge shipper that wanted to make art of them for the week and we informed them that that was against the rules. Then we went to make the official tweet seeing as we figured people didn’t go to our carrd to read the rules against proshipping. We would have just as much an issue with Choso x Eso or Kenjaku. And we are liking posts of people defending us. We did like by accident one that was instigating, because we didn’t see the first tweet in the thread, but we’ve since undone it. Please understand that this is exhausting for us; we are getting bombarded with hate when all we wanted to do was have an event that was safe for everyone and wouldn’t trigger our audience. If proshipping means ship and let ship, then please leave us alone with our event, you already have your own coming up.

i’m not a choso yuji shipper but the fact you barely have any yuji content as if yuji doesn’t mean the most to choso, more than yuki ever will. is embarrassing. exactly why your choso week is flopping.
We have prompts for brotherhood and family meal. We’re not excluding Yuji by any means, we just don’t allow proshipping and incest. And no one is even talking about Yuki. Yes, the mods are ChosoYuki shippers, but this event isn’t about them. The only prompt that could be a ChosoYuki prompt is OTP, but there are plenty of other ships that are not proshipping that could be used in that as well.

Proshipping does not mean “problematic ship”. I’ve been in and out of spaces for decades and proship has always meant a person supports another person shipping whatever they want even if they don’t ship it themselves, even if they’re uncomfortable with it. It means not harassing others over fictional ships. Ship and let ship. Don’t like, don’t read, etc. Saying proshipping means problematic shipping is just not true. If you’re going to block problematic content from the event, please at least make it clear in your carrd and don’t misuse terminology.
We appreciate the not aggressive tone in your question a lot. We’ve had proshipping as “Not Allowed” in our carrd since the event’s announcement. We’re not going to change the Twitter post as to not add more fuel to this fire.

If this is a chosoXyuki event… just make a fixed ship event and people will join. If you want a general choso event without ships you don’t like… make a sfw or ship free event. The way this is set up feels like a “gotcha” and exclusionary instead of just running an event for something you like.
It’s not a ChosoYuki event, the only romantic prompt we have is OTP, all the other ones are related to Choso alone and his brothers at most. There are ships that can be explored in OTP that do not involve minors, and this was never a gotcha moment, it was explicitly mentioned in our carrd under “not allowed”.

What does otp stand for?
One True Paring, basically your favorite ship! In this case, one of the parts of the ship being Choso! So, for example, Choso x Yuki, or Choso x Gojo! Whichever ship you’d like to draw/write/cosplay/edit for! 🩸♥️

Can you explain in simple terms what is "Choso Week" about? I've never participated in something like this before and I have no idea what am I supposed to do 😂
It’s a week where each day you have two prompt choices and you can create something (art, fanfics, cosplays, edits, etc) about one or both prompts! You don’t have to participate every day, you can post something for whichever day(s) you’d like. And when you post it on Twitter, use the hashtag #ChosoWeek so we can see it and retweet it! Let us know if you have more questions 🩸♥️

i hope choso week would stay in july 😔 cuz it felt like a special gift to share a choso adventure so close to my bday. I get how a month can be short for some people, and i know im being selfish— would end of July instead be considered instead of August?
We are sorry to hear that! We understand how special it can be. However, we can’t please everyone 😔 We’ll do what the majority votes for on Twitter, and it would be mid-August—from the 12th to the 18th 🩸♥️

personally 1 month is more than enough time to prepare, its not as if people are forced to participate or take part every single day

As a follow up to the other question, only 1 month to prepare seems too short to prepare even one thing for this event. When this event was announced, my friends and I all thought it is way too short notice.
We understand your frustration and we put up a poll for the participants to vote on Twitter on whether they would like to have more time or if they are fine with the current dates!

Why is there only 1 month given to prepare for this event? There are 7 days, shouldn't you give some time for people to participate for more than one day?
