alec is essentially a pseudo oc, since he isn't really?? a character in the game (he doesn't even have a sprite ffs) and we only know stuff about him that other characters have said and things we can deduce. he is a human who teams up with faust (a wizard) to take over the country (because the former ruler fucked off, so there's just. no one there).

they participate in the war for power with their own army, in which alec loses an arm which is absolutely devastating to them. alec has always wanted to be a painter, but with only one arm it's kinda hard to do that.

they won the war, thus alec became king, and then passed the order for all wizards to be executed (to which the characters in the game think he got peer pressured). so faust, is supposed to be burned at the stake. classic 16th century witch trial. faust had the opportunity to escape but he didn't.

he survived, but ofc with major scars both physically and mentally. he still has nightmares about that day he was set on fire, but he still holds alec's memory very close to him;;;

alec meanwhile founded a church and named it after faust, where faust is revered as a hero for the country, which. we don't know Why he did that, but my best guess it that alec wanted faust's memory to be a happy one, rather than one where he just got executed for being a wizard.
