I don't doubt there are readers who have exited the story when they realized it's not what they expected but I like that Takedown is the way it is! To be honest I was doubtful when I read the summary first time because I wasn't sure if it's like other fics with similar setup but I was happily surprised when I started to read the story and I'm glad I chose to give it a chance because it's refreshing (both as namkook and age gap fic) and although it has existing tropes you have made them your own. I also agree with you that although the story is fictional you have written Namjoon and Jungkook in ways that's believable and close to their "true" selves. of course fiction doesn't need to include anything from canon but I think you understand what I mean.
thank you! i'm glad you enjoy the spin i put on it! and i do understand what you mean! sorry i've been so like, tip toeing around things in this whole convo lol (i'm not sure if you're the same anon who was talking to me about the nj characterizations, but if not hopefully they'll see this!), as you can tell i'm a lot more comfortable just talking about how i like to write them, and it's harder to get me to take a stance on general fic trends. i'm just really aware of not wanting to step on anyone's toes! but hopefully it's clear from the choices i make in my fics where my interests and preferences lie, and i think you're on the same page as me 💕
