Glad to see people are finally opening their eyes and realizing Namjoon has hinted about being a bottom for years now 😔👊 But in all seriousness during the last 24 hours I have seen too many people under tweets where this has more or less seriously been discussed about denying the possibility, not necessarily in "he's not gay!!!" way but more in the sense of "he doesn't look like a bottom/doesn't give those vibes" and "he's a switch/vers, don't disrespect his name" and I don't know what to think about this. I know none of us really knows Namjoon's sexuality or his bedroom preferences but it still kinda rubs me the wrong way that only the mention of him possibly being (exclusive) bottom is seen as shameful, even degrading, and I will boldly say that the discussion could be very different if this was about some other, ""less masculine"", member of BTS.
yeah people get really weird about how "oh if you're calling him a bottom you're saying he's feminine" and it's like 1. no, those two things are not connected, and also 2. what's shameful about being feminine? answer quickly.
as always, i think it's totally cool for people to have personal ways they like to view the members or ways they like to see them depicted in fiction or whatever (and i don't have any exclusive top/bottom designations for anyone myself, though i do think i have some preferences in how i write them), but i think when all of this stuff is basically just a headcanon, ppl end up saying some weird things when they go around trying to justify their own headcanon and disprove others. like, if your only way to "disprove" that he's a bottom ends up trotting out some homophobia and misogyny to do so, maybe that's not an argument you should be making lmao.
