i need more variables to determine my opinion and i am clearly not eligible enough to answer this but let's see. well, in an ideal world between two mature and understanding lovers, those shared obstacles could make their bond tighter as they learn about each other more. if they can overcome it well, i am pretty sure it will create stronger emotional connection. but on the other scenario, sometimes people already have a lot in their plates and not everyone can compromise with each other so it can create distance and they even lose the bond they were once shared. if they fail to support and communicate with each other properly, it will lead to constant exhaustion and resentment. so, it really depends on what kind of situation they are in and how they tackle those obstacles together
