What is the tone of the zine?

The fanzine doesn't have a certain tone and contributors are encouraged to do whatever they please with their piece as long as it fits the movie they are assigned!

What are you looking for from writers? How long do you want the works to be? Is explicit stuff okay?

Writers will be asked for 3 samples of their written work, they can decide to provide prose or poetry. Prose is required to be up to 3,000 words while poetry is required to be 1-2 pages long, although that is not the minimum! I will edit the Carrd soon to make it more clear.
It depends on what kind of "explicit stuff" you are referring to, but sexual topics in general will be prohibited as this is a SFW fanzine.

The guest artist is @ShionSkyplz! It will be illustrating the art work for Movie 4.
It is a friend of mine, but I did not invite it to be apart of this fanzine for that reason. Many of the people who have filled the Interest Check were interested in seeing it in this fanzine, and since I admired it's art, I have decided invited it to be a guest artist!

We have different movies as a theme, but is there a particular vibe we're going for? Do we want serious entries, silly entries, smutty entries, a mix of all 3?

As I have already stated, the contributor's creativity is encouraged when talking ahout this topic. The vibe of the illustration will be left to the contributor's choice as long as it is related to the movie's theme in general.
Basically, it can be serious, silly, etc. as long as it relates to the movie you have been assigned! However, any sexual themes will be prohibited as this is a SFW fanzine.

Hi, just so you know, it doesn't look like the carrd's been edited. It still says "at least 3000 words." Also, I actually find 3000 words a bit restrictive. I have old works shorter than that, but nothing recent! Would you rather see longer works in the portfolio, or older ones?

I have just checked the Carrd, please forgive me for not editing it! I may have forgotten to save it, but I will edit it again later!
The word requirement is 3,000 words at most, so you are not required to write exactly 3,000 works, the samples you provide can be shorter. Please provide me wih more recent work no older than one year so I can have an understanding of how you will work in the fanzine.

for the art requirements when you ask for a completed background on one of them what do you mean specifically?

By a completed background, I specifically mean a scenery behind the character(s). Simple backgrounds such as patterns and/or colours are not what is meant by completed backgrounds in this context.
Examples of completed backgrounds: the sky, the mountains, a garden, etc., it can be any kind of scenery!

That would be correct. This is my first time modding a fanzine, but I have modded various other events before (Conan Week, for example) and I have joined various fanzines as a contributor artist, so I'd say I have a very fair amount of experience despite this fact!
