At all believing that Jewish people deserve a Jewish state makes you a Zionist, even if you are against Israel that makes you a Zionist by definition. A Jewish state, no matter the intention, should never exist. It is anti-diaspora and will always rely on colonization, it is not a "fine idea" by any measure of the word.
I’m just trying to find a middle ground with these people because i think being hostile to the concept will just shut them down and i understand why Israel was founded AT THE TIME after ww2 and why ppl thought it was necessary but i don’t think that it needs to exist anymore. And the diaspora is like one of the beautiful parts of being Jewish. I just hate Israeli nationalism and i think the spirit of our community should b inside of us and connecting us across nations and if we have that they won’t ever be able to squash our community.

You can’t be Jewish and not support Israel in the slightest
OkayI have a lot of thoughts on this. I support the concept of Israel. I think in theory that a state for Jews is a fine idea. But the government of Israel is corrupt and has been committing terrible war crimes. The government of Israel doesn’t even have the Jewish people as its top priority. It’s a colonialist venture born out of European nationalism in order to gain control in the Middle East. Israel doesn’t really care about Jews. Ethiopean Jews got non consensually sterilized by the government because they don’t “look like real Jews”. Black Jews don’t have the right to “return home” and gain citizenship. The Israel government is run by European racist white Jews who have been tormenting and stripping the Palestinians of their rights for years. Israel is European nationalism in disguise, that wants you to THINK they care about you so that you defend them blindly.
