OKAY OKAY OKAY okay. okay i have to categorize this because theres two and tentatively a third. ill just talk about the two for now because i dont have much lore concocted for the third or if hes just a #fleeting thought. anyway
calcharo - he has such a painful backstory... he grew up in the less fortunate areas of his nation and his nation is pretty much hypertechnology supercapitalism so The common people are left to themselves and he had a very rough environment (gang wars killing every man for himself etc) and disappeared for awhile after his group of boys got killed and came back super traumatized and haunted by the horrors but very strong and formed his own mercenary group that pretty much cleaned up the town he was from in terms of crime (although through their own dubious means...) He knows jiyan because they collaborated in a "against the bigger evil" type thing in the war going on in wuwa (tldr scary shit is happening and lots of monsters are everywhere all of the time) so i think at this point in time his group is just chilling around jinzhou
jiyan - he's the lead general of the city's (jinzhou) army! he grew up in a medicinal/doctor family and eventually went on to become one/some type of medic himself but decided that it wasn't a direct enough approach to the war for him and joined the army to fight. during a lore important super scary bad battle he kept the front strong when his general disappeared and was CHOSEN BY DRAGON GOD (not really an archon from genshin but sort of..? more of a local deity type i suppose) to be the new Leader of the army and hes good at it but it takes a toll on him
