i suppose for me personally the biggest appeal of figatwins is like. the ways they’re all inextricably linked to each other, regardless of whether they want to be or not lol. snow and white are twins (obviously), and they’ve always had each other to rely on and have as company. they’ve never known loneliness, whereas figaro has been lonely his entire life. his link to them as their fated pair makes him an outcast from the get-go, because on the surface neither of the twins truly seem to need him — why should they, when they have each other? but of course it’s all a lot more complicated than it seems on the surface…

snow and white’s dependence on each other is incredibly unhealthy for them, as shown by how snow ended up accidentally killing white because he tried to spend time separated from his twin. though they often pride themselves on their closeness and similarities to each other, the truth is that they are different people, and they require the perspective of a third party. figaro is the only wizard alive who has known snowhi nearly as long as they’ve known each other — he was their first disciple, their prized pupil, and although of course oz is an important part of their little unit it’s also made explicitly quite clear the ways oz is held at arms length by the other three: because they were intimidated by oz’s power, mostly, but also because he’s very different to all three of them in terms of personality. arthur is oz’s fated other because he was able to change and teach oz in ways neither snowhi nor figaro could… though they influenced each other to change in many ways between the three of them

i’m struggling to find a way to describe exactly what it is about them i like in terms of like. shipping fodder HDBSJXBS it’s very much vibes for me in some regards. i guess i just really like how at the end of the day they embody the concept of love? does that make sense. the way snowhi love each other as brothers and partners and playmates and soulmates; who gave figaro all the love they knew how to give in a land as unforgiving as the north, a place where mercy and tenderness can get you killed. the way figaro has always been searching for love because he was jealous of the bond snow and white share, unable to comprehend his importance to either of them — mostly because neither of them understood his importance and mocked him for his loneliness. the way white’s death ties figaro to snow in their grief, and figaro to white in their mortality. the way figaro always returned to snowhi every time his attempts at recreating the village of his childhood failed. the way figaro is still so inherently dedicated to the both of them that even after 2000 years of travelling the world trying to find a place to belong, he still speaks to them in the formal language they taught him as a child, and tries his best to comfort snow in the throes of agony when snow is poisoned and dying and no longer has the strength to keep white by his side…
