Recently there was a trend in twitter, something like "svt fic roman empire" and CYF was mentioned so many times on the quotes that i had to read asap
I've read everything in one shot and it worth it every single second i've spend on it, thanks for this amazing work

When do you think the next chapter will come out?

Honestly I'm not sure! Getting COVID put a wrench in my plans I was really sick for a while and now I'm mostly swamped with my makeup work. I had made progress on chapter 10 and wanted to update in August but that's probably not happening anymore....

You're sooooo sweet... 5 years of CYF sounds like a lot but I'm so grateful to you for saying it. I love it too much to discontinue! Also I will be taking a bit of a longer break because... I got COVID!!!! T__T

hi moon, just wanted to say how much I love CYF, I’ve read it twice and honestly it’s one of my favorite fics of all time, just so beautifully done <3 no matter how long it may take to finish just know that we all love it and will be here to enjoy and obsess over it whenever it comes! <3

I found this fic late last summer and it HAUNTS me. really hoping you haven't abandoned it but if you have just know I have read it SO often just to re-experience the character development and be 100% immersed in a fictional story. I'm an editor/proofreader IRL and your talent to make a story come alive is astonishing.

Hello! Happy to see, you're good. I'm curious about cyf. Do you still writing it and planning to update or it's now discontinued story?

My intentions are to finish it! It's just much harder for me now to write than it was in 2021 with a bunch of lifestyle changes happening. If I do ever decide to discontinue it, I'll make a note in the summary.

Hi moon! I’m so happy to have found this site, I love seeing your excitement and drive for this fic! You’ve clearly put so much work and thought (and words) into it, and it has been so relieving to know your intentions to continue, just with some well deserved break time! I wanted to ask, do you have any idea how many chapters the story will amount to by the end? (I’m hoping a thousand but I’ll forgive you if that’s too much :p)

I'll be honest, I used to know the direction the fic was going to go, but while I'm still very set on my ending there are a few things I originally planned on doing that I decided are no longer feasible if I want to actually finish CYF in a realistic time frame. Ummm. There are at least 4 more chapters planned... but the fic won't be done by then.... so I just don't know! Sometimes I have to let the story tell itself, and I'm gonna write those chapters I have planned and see where it goes from there.

i'm curious about jun and minghao's relationship in cyf, especially since minghao mentioned he struggled with coming to terms with his feelings for jun. could you elaborate a little on what happened? love your fic <3

Oh, mostly I think Jun and Minghao still hadn't fully bonded when Seventeen project was cancelled (and Minghao was originally resentful of having to be close to Jun in the first place when the group didn't even happen) but when they went back to China, Jun was very stubborn and insistent in staying in contact and slowly but surely won Minghao over! Nothing too crazy but that's what I meant!

hi moon! i hope you’re having a great summer 💖 cyf really has been my comfort fic in some sense since i keep coming back to it to re-read (expect the sk pregnancy scenes, those are too much to handle even for my angst loving ass, my lovely boo😭). so i was wondering if you have any comfort fics or comfort svt songs that you come back to?

It is so sweet of you to say that CYF is your comfort fic... (I'm sorry the pregnancy scenes are too much! I understand!) I love vocal unit's voices, so Same dream, same mind, same night is one of my favorites to listen to... Also Snapshoot when I want to be cheered up!
