The way SM handled this left a bad taste in everyone. And I also think the other fandoms are using this opportunity as gotcha moment to sh*t on Riize, who actually had the potential to finally appeal to the western audience. And SM was also a bit serious about making them a global group. It’s also kind of brain dead of SM to send Riize to US at this point. Why not send Riize to Japan and send another SM group, I don’t know maybe like nct wish to US
ofc other fandoms are using this situation to shit on riize when they're getting aval from briize but yeah sm handled this terrible from the beginning of his hiatus to now. honestly I'm not sure of them having the appeal to attract western audiences, kpop is pretty niched and riize's music don't exactly appeal to western kpop fans, they never had a big intl fandom to begin with, which would put all their chances of making it almost exclusively on lucky without a big fandom cuz a company can only do half of the work. the decision to send them to la was probably done before this whole shitshow and then it couldn't be changed unfortunately 😭
