I started very casually listening to Kp0p around 2021 with Dyn4mite by BeeTeaEss, and then I also really loved Bvtter when it came out. I first thought I was going to be 4rmy, but it never really felt right? Oh, I was also very into Bl4ckp¡nk after watching their documentary on N3tfl¡x (it is really good & I recommend it if you want to see a little more behind the scenes of training and production.)

I somehow ran across M4niac on Spotify when it came out & instantly fell in love (aka added it to my liked songs) but I didn’t really venture further into 5kz at that point. (I remember asking my daughter if Str4y K¡ds were like the indie? edgy? version? of? beeteaess? I had no clue.)

Fast forward to early 2022 when my daughter and I got really into L00NA - we spent every afternoon working through their emvee disc0graphy in order of debut from H33jin’s V¡v¡d through 0livia Hy3’s Eg0ist and then all of their unit songs and 0T12 songs as well (L00NA is probably the most fascinating, well-thought-out and most horribly mismanaged Kp0p endeavors of all time, and I could go on and on about them, but I digress.)

Fast forward again to the summer of 2023, when my daughter and I got really into playing Kp0p games on YT (we still really love doing this) - there were a few days where we started answering “Thvnder0us by Str4y K¡ds” on every question we didn’t know the answer to and were cackling wildly because we thought it was sooooo funny. This was around the time that Ess-Cl4ss came out, so it was featured A LOT in the Kp0p quiz games. I was growing more and more fond of these boys every time I would see them, even though I couldn’t even tell most of them apart. I started watching a lot of d4nce pr4ctice videos, and I remember absolutely falling in love with the vampire version of Thvnder0vs and declaring that it was “my new religion” lmao (it’s so good.)

By around June 30, 2023, I was fully hyper-fixated on 5kz. Flx was my first b¡as, and I just thought he was the most beautiful person of any gender I’d ever seen (still do.) His part in Y0utiful made me CRYYYYY so hard the first time I heard it. 5kz just filled a hole in my heart that I didn’t know was there, and it just felt completely right to start calling myself a St4y at that point, and I’ve been fully down bad ever since.

By the time my daughter and I took our first trip to the Kp0p store around July 8th-ish? I had already started growing attached to Jsvng. We bought 5⭐️ on that trip, and the cashier asked us who our favorite member was so she could give us a freebie, and that’s how I got my first H4n peecee. I still carry it with me every day in my H4nQvokka pouch. 🥰 I fell in love with Mmsvng soon after that & added Mimo to by b¡as line officially in August 2023 when the Svper B0wl emvee was released (he was soooo hot it that, how could I not? winkeu)
