Hmm this is hard for me to answer since I dont have much of a preference over who tops or bottoms. Im of the opinion that they are both probably switches due to the back and forth nature of their dynamic together. But I do kind of agree with you as in my mind Eric is more of a sadist which also fits his character I think. And i feel like the more toxic and problematic tones lend itself to more of the sadomasochism. I also can see bottoming being a vulnerability thing for Eric, and his character doesn't easily lend itself to vulnerability, so I think he would need that feeling of safety to open up that way. All that being said, I love them in all their forms, I could never decide haha.
