Hai guys! I have a long ass question that I want you all to think about. I'm not going to put this is a 'qotd' format, because I want thought out answers. I also ask you elaborate on the idea.

My question for you all is: What piece of media, fiction - non fiction, a poem, a movie a show or a book, do you think the media twisted so badly the original meaning has been lost?

Absolutely anything is accepted here: from politics to philosophies, to people to bands and groups. Anything.

I could say so much but to dumb it down most people treat media the way they treated the columbine license plate.
The columbine plate was made to show you care for life and that life should be protected as an aftermath of the Columbine shooting. But people twisted it to mean pro-life.
I think people do that with any media, changing it to fit their ideals and motivations to the point where it means nothing.
