hi! i haven’t had a chance to see your earlier seasons but is my understanding correct that “mad king” is the theme of this season? and it would be a period setting right (whether bound or fluid like time travel/reincarnation like the MVs)? or did i misunderstand and mad king is just the fest name and the theme is something else 😭😭😭 (excited either way just wanted to be sure)
hello! we named it Mad King because, unlike the previous seasons, Daeso S4 is not content-restrictive. hence, "Mad King". We didn't allow some themes and tropes in the previous seasons since at the same time, we weren't age-restrictive during the previous seasons.
The fest is Joseon-themed, if you want to be certain. It can be historical, time travel, reincarnation--as long as it's Joseon AU, it's accepted here. I hope this clears things up! - 🐳
