I am Lieutenant Commander Data of the Federation Starship Enterprise. I am an android created by Dr. Noonien Soong, the first and only artificial life-form to enter Starfleet, and I serve as operations officer. I have become interested in the social practices of 21st-century humans, particularly the brief period in which "social media" services were widely popular. There is a saying on Earth that those who forget their history are doomed to repeat it, so in order to become the kind of human that I aspire to be, it may be necessary to learn the history of their home planet. My friend Geordi has brought me up to speed on the basics of "netiquette", so I believe I will be able to interact in the manner appropriate to this time period. Please, ask me anything.

The similar Raznan housecat attempts to get a caretaker's attention with a "moeru" sound, and the Troyian long-tailed cat shows affection with a high-pitched "graaaawk!"
