so just like with gojō, my thoughts on getō's childhood and specifically his relationship with his parents can go one of two ways; however, b/c i started a thread about getō's character and touch upon this subject in particular, i'll try to keep my answer short:

no, i don't like theories about his parents being abusive b/c they tend to feel like projection to an extent ("he killed them b/c they were abusive!" and that's as far as it goes, which would be fine if we had some of his background before spv, but i've not yet read a concrete theory). there was likely a disconnect between him and his parents due to his being different, but killing them was a test to himself; there's also the dialogue in the shinjuku confrontation between stsg to consider.

another reason why it's a popular theory for his character is b/c of the importance of family to him, but that itself doesn't equate to abusive parents (in his case, it could have meant an absent parent(s). in my fics, i tend to explore him having one parent present who overworks to provide for them and unintentionally creates the first curse he consumes, but i digress); instead, again, it sounds like distance due to lack of understanding which inevitably hurts and isolates him. so when he tells riko about kuroi being her family, to me, it's b/c at that point, he found family again with satoru. and after he defects, he makes his own family. the bonds he made with his daughters and family were genuine and built on love, but i don't think this came about from a childhood with abusive parents.
