When I was seven, I had an unfathomable fear of moths because when I lived with my dad when I was five, he told me they eat my clothes bit by bit. So I was under the impression moths eat clothes and people, and that if they got a hold of my shirt, they'd chew through and nibble through my bones. I used to be so scared I didn't even want to wear clothes or be outside where moths could touch me. My foster brothers were NOT helpful because they told me if I didn't do things like steal food or games for them, they'd collect a jar of moths and release them when I sleep 😕😔
