That’s what friends do.” like ohhhhh my GOD I swear I now have permanent synaptic damage in my brain putting myself in mnho's shoes and feeling all that heartbreak and betrayal and disbelief, screaming and throwing up despite being no.1 igmtiy chn defender and knowing in my gut he'd not actually leave mnh to the wolves like that (and HE. DIDN'T!!!!!!!!!)(the candle falling thing oh christopher you're so smart and calculating and cunning and lovely and amazing, just don't give mnho a divine cardiac arrest next time ❤️)
ALSO "He wants to accept the apology to make sure that this is not the last time Chan will sit on the stool by his kitchen table in the warmth of the setting sun." IM SCREAMINGGGG this line hit so deep for some reason like wdym we're 53k words in and look at my darling angel wanting to forgive chan partly so that the possibility of spending quality time with him in his home remains open, mnho you are in this so deep my dude you're going soft 💙 you SAP.
and now for the killing blow to my sanity, the final nail in my coffin, the last two paragraphs....dulcetchan how does it feel to be one of the top 3 5kz writers of all time to describe chn so gorgeously, to make his characterization so freakishly good no matter which fic it is, no matter what role he's playing and who he's conversing with (especially mnchn like how do you DO it) like wdym "He doesn’t dwell on the soft tan of his skin, nor how the olive oil on the bread makes his lips glisten a little, shine almost." Are you out to drive me insane, be honest.
