I saw that you received some retros about the slow burn of Firehouse and I came here to talk about it.

I've been reading your story since the first chapter and this is the first time I'm reading an unfinished one while it is being written. I've always been very wary of reading stories with angst tags, especially unfinished ones.

But Megumi had me from the first chapter and the rest of the crew too. Every detail of your writing is very passionate and engaging. Your characters have personality and history, they're not just extras for a main couple. Sukuna is charming and I really want to be able to read the story from his perspective.

I love slow burn because I think it's wonderful to follow Sukufushi's little steps, how they went from 0 to 100, but it's beautiful to see them go through 10, 20, 30... it's like when we eat the last piece of pie left. delicious and satisfying.

I really want to read when Sukuna and Megumi are dating, but it will be much more rewarding to read this after following all the little steps that led them there.

Congratulations on the story, Eli. My days are much better when I receive an update notification. 💕

bestie this made me SOB in the bathroom I shit you not. today's been so overwhelming on my emotions (in a good way) and this sent me over the edge, thank you. 🥹 I can't even believe people were willing to read Firehouse when it's unfinished, let alone at the slow burn pace I'm going. It means so much.

Oh I agree so wholeheartedly about the 0-100 vs 10-20-30! They've both AMAZING approaches to take but I've loved being able to build their world, their personalities, and see them fall in love. 0-100 love is beautiful, but 10-20-30 is just as valid and just as beautiful to watch. They've been constants in each other's lives for half a year now, and they've still barely scratched the surface of one another. I love that for them, and I love that I know once they reach the point that they boil over, they can't stop. There's not a single force that'll pry them apart because they YEARNED IT AND EARNED IT.

Thank you SO so much bestie, your kind words made me smile and I feel so grateful that you have been with Firehouse since the beginning. 🥹 My little heart can never find enough words to thank you!
