i think!! he feels complicated about it. i think he always wanted kids before the events in garlemald unfolded. it was one of his life goals!! he was always good with kids and he enjoyed looking after them. but after the whole i-have-to-kill-my-whole-family thing... he has a few reservations.

i think he believes that he failed his family so much, that he'll make the same mistakes if he ever has kids. what if he fails again? what if he isn't there for them in their time of need? what if he can't keep them safe? <--- i think he's plagued with these thoughts for a long time (understandably) and it's only through g'enkei's (as well as his friends) constant love, support and reassurance that he stops doubting himself.

kids are very far down the genjullus timeline because they didn't want to jump into anything until jullus is completely comfortable and ready for it!!!
