Tips for beginner artists? (I’m still learning shapes and anatomy)
sorry for responding so late!!
my advice to beginner artists is remember to play around and have fun with what makes you enjoy art!!
burning yourself out with learning the basics can be a struggle. remember to take breaks to just have fun with it!
learning anatomy, and shapes and such does especially help in the beginning. it gives you ground to stand on for later and ensures you don’t pick up some bad habits. (“bad habits” are relative. just because the anatomy, for example, isn’t like the standard tutorials and “how tos” doesn’t mean it wasn’t purposeful. but i hope you get what i mean.)
look at real life, look at media like tv shows and animation, look at your favorite artists and draw inspiration from it!
doing studies spanning from color to anatomy to art style from these kinds of places can really broaden your skill set.
sorry this isn’t a great answer lol. if you’re looking on more specific tips like how to draw faces, bodies, etc, let me know! i’ll try my best to answer
