do u have any tips for a new artist.....I feel like I'm not improving at all :c

hi hi! i do have tips but unfortunately im mostly gonna parrot what other ppl have said. ill make a list.

  • the most important thing is that you enjoy drawing and find it fun/relaxing! if u think about it... if its fun > u do it more > u learn faster.
  • post your work (no matter how small) both to maybe gain a following but itll help u see improvement!
  • study ur favorite artists and their work. find "flaws" (it shows even ur faves make mistakes and u still love their work! meaning its ok if u do mistakes too, it doesnt ruin the art!). things u would do different. try to understand why and how.
  • dont be scared to draw "cringe" things. ocXcanon. self-inserts. fursonas. sparkledogs. if its fun, draw it!
  • do art studies! practise croqui, spend a month only drawing hands or fruits, explore your art program, watch speedpaints (my beloved). ex: pick a pic of a banana, sketch it and try to eyeball all the colors.
  • be patient and dont let numbers guide u. it took me like a total of approx. 4 yrs to grow to 1k. on my other social media im still below 400. if i didnt enjoy art, i wouldve given up.

i have more tips lol but ill just save them for my next stream.
