as a teenager we were obsessed with proxima centauri b, we had a whole story and game planned out around it and a world map n shit, we saw that it was tidally locked to its star so we planned for the post-terraformed world map to be a ring around a meridian where it was just about habitable, there was a whole backstory about how when earth reached a crisis point around half of the population evacuated to proxima centauri b and the other half remained on earth and the half that stayed had an entirely separate post-apocalypse-y story we wrote for them because we were also kinda obsessed with solar flares/CMEs and the effects of passing through one of those destroying all electronics (because we didnt quite understand how they worked back then but like as a narrative device it was kinda sick) and the setup to that story was that a particularly powerful one had done that to earth and there was only 1 single place that still had electricity and the main character was someone interested in figuring out why/how that one place still did because it was in a huge half life 2 citadel-ass tower with a single giant light on the top and fun fact that protagonist is basically jae from blackthorn, that story kinda merged with some other stuff we worked on to create the setting and some of the characters from the thing we are Still fucking working on to this day
in conclusion, yeah jupiter is the coolest planet. i like its hexagons
