Before Retrospring is gone, let me have this confession here real quick: I hate how HG handled/has been handling the Iberian Inquisition sideplot. Seems like they had an idea, then got cold feet of making them as awful as they were initially described to be and so they dumped it on the trash. I love Lumen, I really do, but HG effectively just used him as the narrative equivalent of a piece of duct tape on the whole Iberian-Aegir plot. "Here, the Inquisiton has a Token Aegir member now. We even wrote on his files that he is working as the middleman between the Aegir and the Inquisition. Oh, there's joint meeting between those two now btw, we hid that bit of info away on his file too. Racism is solved, we never have to touch that again! Hurrah!". That's all she wrote. That's literally it.

Bitch, you were the one who first introduced the Inquisition as being prejudiced assholes at best. This offscreen "redemption" does not work because even the event itself that they did that in shows exactly why the Inquisition fucking sucks, even if the writers don't realize it. They took all of the Aegir who were living in that place except for a single toddler (what was Lumen's age again when that happened, anyway) and had them Pinochet'd (As in, tortured for info/a confession, then killed). No, one out of ten of those Aegir being indeed a Seaborn cultist does not make it any better, and you know why? BECAUSE THERE WERE STILL SEABORN CULTISTS IN THAT TOWN. WHICH THEY JUST MISSED AND LEFT THERE. PRESUMABLY BECAUSE THEY WERE LIBERI AND SO THEY ESCAPED SUSPICION. ONE OF THEM WAS A FUCKING BISHOP. CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAD ONE JOB THAT YOU DID ALL THAT RACIAL PROFILING/POLICE BRUTALITY BULLSHIT FOR AND YOU STILL FUCKING FAILED AT IT, YOU WORTHLESS PIECES OF TRASH!

Anyways not saying that I'm a better writer than whoever at HG wrote all that (...ok, maybe a little, just a little), I'm just saying that if I was the writer I wouldn't have created an organization who call themselves the Inquisition, put them in that one nation of your world that is obviously based on Spain of all places for extra oof, and then be this wishy-washy about them.

Is that single paraghaph on Lumen's files seriously all what we are gonna get. Seriously. At least have an Iberian event in which the "corrupt part" of the Inquisition go rogue because they don't like the new 'Aegir citizens are people too' agenda. Maybe put the Seaborn gimmick to rest a little bit and have most of the stage enemies in that event be Inquisitors, and if HG really needs to have the final boss be a Seaborn yet again that badly, then may I remind them that the Inquisition has a Seaborn locked up in their basement and ok seriously what's up with that, explain it. Have the rogue Inquisitors' evil plan be to free that Seaborn and set them on the civilians to blame it on the Aegir so they can reignite that discrimination policy and make it worse, maybe have them try to frame Lumen for it idk. There, I have given you the basic premise for a whole new Iberia event, hire me now HG. /hj

No wait I'm not done, there's more. Have the AH take a break on this one and make it purely an Iberia event with Iberian operators only, Kal'tsit can be there too because she's Kal'tsit but everyone else can sit this one out. And if you really must insert the AH plot somewhere then maybe put Andreana in there somewhere somehow, show us Incandescence while you are at it too. Don't even have her in the banner (yet), just show her. Make a callback to that monologue Anita's grandma said to Irene all the way back in Under Tides because that was kinda fire. Maybe also have a random Aegir NPC who doesn't know Lumen personally call him a race traitor because the only thing they know about him is that he's an Aegir and part of the Inquisition. Ok maybe that last one is too on the nose but still, you can't just have the Inquisition be 'good' or 'better' now and that's it. That's just fucking lazy.

And yeah, I know Lumen is in Ulpian's event so maybe something about how the Inquisition is doing gets mentioned there or something... but seriously what could they possibly say or do that it is not gonna be the same wishy-washy offscreen nonsense that Lumen's operator file already has, what with the event being in Aegir and not in Iberia, like this isn't even about them. I'll eat my words if the event actually manages to have something in there, but I really, really doubt it. And again, Aegir event, of all events to give the Inquisition decent lore this would be the worst one to do it in because this isn't even about them, not really.
