generally speaking, ofc i agree the disrepancy between m/m and f/f in fandom overall is due to misogyny because that's like... a fact

i mean... a very basic example: you know how fanfiction is mostly written by women. purely for the sake of argument, let's say overall there's more of them attracted to men so that's why there's more m/m
...and people never even consider the misogyny already inherent to this. i mean like-- misogyny is why romance is seen as a genre for women and unmanly/lesser/too girly/whatever word this should be common sense/etc right??

but you /know/ things like this is never what people mean when they talk about misogyny causing a lack of f/f. no it's because the people i dont like have internalized misogyny (everyone's favorite new buzzword) (which again im not saying is untrue, just not in the way most people mean it--also literally everyone is affected by this to some extent so dont act so superior)
