Could I get the overall lore on your character's world please?

! Yes, absolutely:

The Earth-like world they're in encouraged humans to progress rapidly, rapidly and unthoughtfully. 👍 This planet didn't allow for the civilization to spread in every corner, sparing only some territories free of natural disasters, anomalies, and dangerous wildlife for humans to inhabitate. So, even with it being able to reach many advancements in science and city construction, the future of humanity still is quite shaky with unresolved social and political issues. So the progress is very uneven. So.. the xenophobic humanity wasn't really ready for the new conscious beings they are going to create.

Most of my bots have a similar pattern of becoming a free one - created as an assistance for humans & as a replacement for them when it comes to dangerous tasks and heavy labour -> put up for being repurposed (new laws) or discarded (old laws) when it's no longer needed -> breaking free in the middle of a fresh new conflict for resources/thanks to activists or other more radical organisations.

Rn it's very underwhelming there- lots of ruination, separated governments, bots figuring out what to do with their freedom and how to navigate the hostile world that put consciousness in their heads and now refuses to acknowledge them.

There're city bots, warbots, bots working for the government, but im mainly focused on the wandering lawless ones. I mostly draw botties from the Terminus, a station.. hub? outpost? a group of them created where human world ends and cold wilderness starts. So they basically came to find an abandoned industrial complex and made it a home for their group of various shabby machines. With time that place started to attract more bots with a similar fate.

Ps i prefer to focus on personal stories of my losers but yeah, in terms of evolution of ai, earth's tricks with anomalies and imperialism ruining the planet, I've some of that going in the background too.
