I think Emma and Edgar would have an understanding of eachother due to their mental illnesses and mutual loss of loved ones (both the similarities and differences of their situations) and they can find a familial comfort in eachother because of that 👼 Emma definitely teases him and his pride makes him act like hates it but he cares for her deeply
