hmhm let me see... for starters, i dont think they'd have a healthy relationship (in the main story universe at least) since they rightfully do not trust one another and have their own issues with forming a bond with other people. but, they are very intrigued by each other, and thats the main power behind their attraction. norton is curious about whats hiding behind orpheus' calm and calculated demeanor, while orpheus is interested how far norton can be pushed and what would he agree to to get what he wants
they also both prefer to have an upper hand in any situation and look for any kind of personal gain, and i dont think norton views orph as a superior even though hes his employer, and thats why i feel like their relationship would consist of hours of prodding at each other and trying to learn more, and (kinda competitive) fucking lol
its a different story in fools gold essence tho, since they are close here. i feel like its especially heartbreaking if you have them as lovers, with norton rebuilding his life from scratch, being respected and loved, and then suddenly changing completely, succumbing to infernal sins influence and destroying everything and everyone he had
