this is my favorite question fr. if you can—see if someone will have the conversation with you to see how it flows and if it flows naturally. if you can’t—read it back outloud to yourself! record yourself if you need to but i’ve found that actually verbalizing dialogue helps to make it sound natural. + making sure it matches with how you’re characterizing someone.
