if you applied for both NSFW and SFW but only got a SFW email rejection....what about the NSFW portion? is a rejection for one a rejection for both?

What email should we be expecting a response from? I have nothing in my inbox but I thought emails were being sent out to all applicants, even if the contents are a rejection.

Hi, you're correct that was not addressed in the card! We have made some changes to the guidelines just now to reflect our answer for easier reference. It is the same as the page artist for merch artists as you say!

Hi! Will you be accepting people into multiple roles (NSFW + SFW writers, for example), or will each person only be given one role? Sorry if this has been asked before!
You can be in both the NSFW and the SFW parts. We are not doing both writing and art. I hope that's not too confusing.

I noticed a discrepancy between the carrd and the app. In the carrd it requests the one-shot sample be under 2k, while in the carrd it says the one-shot sample only needs to be under the 3k maximum. Which one should it be? (And if the former, would an application a few words over be acceptable or must it be exactly 2k and under)
Thanks for pointing that out! I'll fix that right away! It is 2k, and it's not a hard limit if it goes over a little that's fine. ^^

Your one application note says that dead dove tropes are allowed but it also says that gore's not allowed in the application. Will gore, or any macabre themes, be allowed for the nsfw version of the zine? Is any blood allowed?
For things in the zine minimal blood can be allowed, but we are trying not to do anything super heavy.

No, I know the 3 SAMPLES have to be blind, but the separate PORTFOLIO you said we can include ALSO has to be blind?? That would involve reuploading over 100 fics without attribution and wouldn’t even be worth it in that case. Most zines that do blind apps require the samples to have no attribution but allow the portfolio to be attributed in case of a tiebreaker. It’s not feasible to anonymize an entire portfolio, so are you saying you’d rather not see an additional portfolio at all?? I’m just confused.

Yes, we are requiring things be anonymous for the blind judging. You can upload snippets to a google drive and share the link to each piece.

when you say 'age gap' for your dead dove no-nos, is that 2 years, 5 years, more? is it still considered dead dove if they're adults?
If this is for submitting applications we don't mind as long as they are adults. If this is for the zine pieces, it'll probably be a case by case basis. We aren't fully against it, and most likely it'll be allowed.
