Hi! Out of curiosity, how many apps in each position have you received?
Hi! As of right now our general numbers for each position are the following: Over 25 Page Artist Applications, Over 10 Merch Artist Applications, Almost 10 Writers Applications and 1 Poetry Application.

Is there a reason for so few contributors? Also, why no guest writer? I'm not planning on applying, I just want to buy the zine, but I like packed zines, so I'm a little sad to see so few creators that will be features. ):
Hello, thank you for your question! We decided on our contributor numbers based on the results of our interest check. While we would love to accept many creators and have as much Firefly content as possible, we want to set ourselves up for the best chance of reaching our charity donation goal and being able to fully compensate our contributors. As for our choice to not invite any guest writers, due to the lower amount of writers we will be accepting, we wanted to leave those spots open to accept more applicants.

Hello! Can the portfolio be a non-Google Drive link and also have more than 8 samples? (I use my portfolio website for everything)
Thank you for the question! As long as your links are accessible to be viewed by our team, non-Google drive links are okay, it is only non-accessible links that we are unable to consider. And having more than 8 samples is completely alright! 8 is just our minimum requirement.

Can you give a contributor number without guests? How many of those guests are writers? Thanks.
Hi, thank you for your question! We will accept a maximum of 5 guests, meaning we are aiming to accept around 20 contributors from applications. We do not currently plan to invite any guest writers.

Hi! Thank you for your question, Our numbers are still in the works, but we are planning to take about 25-30 contributors! These numbers should include guests and we are in the process of reaching out to them!

We are still figuring out the exact numbers but at the moment we plan for about 3-5 writers to be accepted for this project!

Hello! I see your shipping mod is currently working on a lot of projects as either a finance mod or shipping-- like what looks to be over ta dozen cirrent and upcoming projects looking at their info doc.
Which recent things that have happened in the zine space, I'm a little worried at their ability to effectively be able to handle this role? I've been in projects where it goes completely silent, or things get stalled because this position stops communicating, or no one can get in contact, or their too busy/too stacked up due to other projects.
How is the tram prepared to handle such a scenario? For most projects I'm not usually concerned about how many things a mod is in-- only with finance and/or shipping roles due to how demanding they are, and I don't want to see this project fall into the same patterns so many others have. It's just concerning to me.
Hello! Thank you for your question, this is definitely a valid concern! We have discussed this with our shipping mod, and they plan their schedule accordingly so there won't be too many overlaps with other projects where their role(s) is active. During Flaming Dreams' planned shipping period, this will be the only zine that they will be shipping! They have also provided an emergency contact to the mod team who can reach them IRL in case anything comes up. Additionally, we have other team members who are experienced with shipping and can assist if needed!

Will SAM be present at all, or will everything involve Firefly without her suit?
SAM will be present! This zine is about firefly as a whole, and if contributors want to include her SAM suit then it’s more than welcome!
