yesssss i saw it this made me kinda insane in verdante context i'm sooooo. i like to think novel!vergilius is so miserable bc he resigned himself to more bloodshed to get lapis/charon back. can you imagine how deep he is in the pit to LEAD hermann's ncorp group it implies that he's so goddamn desperate he took action. anyways verdante enemies to lovers doomed yaoi bc in the end vergilius would be aiming to steal and use dante for their golden bough resonance (but deep down he's full of guilt about it.)
