What do you like about Java? I only ever hear people badmouth it, although their complaints never seemed very convincing to me.

idk it's just way easier to work with for me than other languages for certain stuff
of course it's not for everything
you do have to write a lot of template code (getters/setters and shit) which is a fair criticism of the language
