what kind of plants are you painting!

ive really fallen in love with syngoniums and pinguiculas!!! my favorites are milk confetti syngoniums, which have big arrow-shaped leaves that have a mint green tone, and are sprinkled w pops and stripes of bubblegum pink!! for pinguiculas i am especially fond of the cyclosecta variety, which have small round leaves that will turn indigo in bright sun. pinguiculas are also carnivorous, they have sticky leaves that are fond of things like gnats and will dissolve them for nutrients 🧛🏻‍♂️

in gen i also really love venus fly traps……… tall upright varieties, any color, so many varieties are so beautiful!! b-52s are the most ideal but i like a lot w strange teeth or stalk patterns like schuppenstiel, biohazard, or wacky traps (venus flytrap varieties are named like weed strains. dont know what to think about that.) though… the traps have to be functional! theres some really wild looking ones that cant eat that feel very. strangely cruel lol.

did you know: venus flytraps will only begin to digest their prey if they are moving! this is how they dont eat things like dead bugs or leaf litter. in case you get caught in a venus flytrap… don’t move! it’ll reopen in a little while.
