pretty vague question but i mean it's gonna be a different experience for everyone! as someone who is poly, as someone who cannot be in a monogamous relationship because of that and as someone has known for a long time that i'm poly it's really great. to have a partner that's so explicitly open to it is a breath of fresh air because in past relationships it's either been they were very explicitly against having an open or poly relationship or they were incredibly vague about their feelings on it so being in a secure but open relationship is literally like a breath of fresh air after the bullshit i've been through. i'm close to my girlfriend's other partner (cause i met my gf through them actually lmao) which helps. obviously it's still hard with my lack of experience and both of our relationship traumas but we're learning together and i could never put into words how grateful i am to have such an amazing partner. someone who is so patient and understanding and doesn't push my boundaries. it's really really hard sometimes but i know it's not my partner's fault, it's just because of my trauma but i'm working through it and trying to be a better person and my partner has been a massive help in that process. it's a great thing and it won't work for everyone but it works for us and i couldn't ask for anything more cause it's already so good.
