sometimes ! especially if its creator is a terrible person, there's always a baggage tied to that made worse by extremist online discourse that anyone who enjoys xyz media is a terrible person, enjoying something made by a horrible person always has me deal with the back and forth. i always remind myself that, profic media or not, there's a degree of ownership the consumer has with any given media they take in. authorial intent is unfortunately baked into the core of a piece and cannot be ignored, but learning to coexist with it, recognizing any real harm a piece of media has and never consuming blindly greatly helps. don't get preoccupied with what other people think of you for liking something. you can easily tell who thinks about things vs who doesn't if someone decides to point fingers and call you evil for something superficial like enjoying a movie. you're the only one who knows what goes on in your head and as long as you're aware of what's going on in there, that's all that matters.
