im not religious so im very sorry if this is insensitive, but what religious reasons do you fast for?

I’ve been fasting since March for Lent. Other than that, I fast during periods dedicated to prayer. The most common is Wednesdays and Fridays, as they are considered holy days. If I can’t complete a full fast, then I abstain from meat. :)
