meiiii what are some of your favorite books of all time? :3

ok i typed an answer but it got long so let me try this again. with the exception of the percy jackson series and the hunger games series which are well-loved and talked about a lot (they were major parts of my childhood too fr), i really liked the giver series (quartet?) and i’ve reread it at least like. three times LOL the movie is also a fairly decent adaptation. i really like dystopian YA and i’d have to say the giver is one of my favorites in that category. i also rly like stardust by neil gaiman — a lot of his works feel so timeless and stardust feels even more so. it feels like a fairy tale but slightly more for adults if that makes sense. i love a lot of neil gaiman books but stardust has to take the cake for me… i’m getting around to reading good omens tho so we’ll see if my answer changes at some point! two books that also recently entered my favorites are the song of achilles by madeline miller and station eleven by emily st john mandel. tsoa was literally so heartwrenching and tragic i genuinely had to read those last few chapters over and over again bc it was so. GAHHH the writing was amazing. i can’t wait to read miller’s other works!! i had to read station eleven for a class and it hit so close to home after going through the pandemic. i really liked the switches in perspective and all the pieces in the story came together rly well. definitely recommend reading it if you like post-apocalypse settings!
