ooh good question! i didn’t really explain in the twt ><~ i just think that with it being a yjvn harem fic, there’s inevitably going to be relationships and conflicts between his lovers as they try to navigate the situation and figure out what works. and some of them already have history with each other~ and some preconceived prejudices too. honestly yjvn is way out of his depth in terms of the complex political sphere he’s found himself in. sbn, tyvn, and kvi already all know each other, even if only vaguely in certain cases. and tyvn and bmgyv have met in passing too. so to find out that they all want to sleep or have already slept with the same guy will surely lead to conflict hsjsjs especially if some of yjvn’s partners feel very strongly about the place of love versus sex in a relationship and if those feelings are at odds. or…if some of them feel the same way about it and yjvn is on board with their feelings, who knows what might happen?? i’m just saying there’s lots of room for heated interactions and tense relationships, and some might get more intimate than others ><~ but of course yjvn will always be the focus bc i really don’t know how to write smth where he’s not

oooh i'm very excited about this too! this might be a minor spoiler, but tyvn literally couldn't care less about the whole jiyeon look. of course he's sad about jiyeon passing because he did actually know her, but yjvn disguised as her does nothing for him. he likes good unfiltered boy yjvn. their romantic relationship will take longer to develop, but tyvn does definitely have a moment of "oh...he grew up...nicely." if you get what i mean hsjsjs. they kind of have their own arc after teungji and that will answer a lot more of your questions! i don't think there's any suspense about whether or not they'll get romantically involved lol but i do hope to create a very fulfilling and engaging story of how they get to that point bc in my mind it's pretty spicy ><~ thank you sm for reading!! <3

im so happy you’re liking it, thank you! honestly i have a pretty good basis in chinese fantasy both from actual folktales and a small interest in xianxia. that’s why there’s a lot more chinese elements than korean elements because i’m just not as well-versed in their traditional stories. i try to research (especially because im really particular about reading folktales in their original language) but it definitely takes some time. a lot of my research is just double-checking boring stuff like weather for seasons, native plants and animals, and making sure i don’t use terms that wouldn’t exist in that historical period 😭 also clothes! although i’m using chinese folktales and deities to influence some of the world building, i want to make sure that the clothing, architecture, and food is more accurate to korean culture. that’s mostly what my research looks like! even though it’s fantasy, i don’t want to take too many liberties with the more historical aspects >< i don’t have many fun facts unfortunately, but i will keep my eye out in my next research cycle for something interesting! if i get the time i might also translate the story, but that would only be once it’s finished~
