hello! our event wishes that everyone is able to find all works easily scrolling through our hashtag, this is also very useful for us, the mods, to keep track of every entry, as well as making sure all entries and creators can get exposure to a new audience at all times, so we manage everything on social media.

i am guessing you might want to just post on the ao3 collection to keep anonymity, which is totally valid!

• if your concern is anonymity, you may add a twitter username + anonymous (or any pseud you’d like) so we know to not display your twitter username and instead use the pseudonym you provide.

• if you do not have a twitter account and happened to find this event through any other social media, you can perfectly send through the form “someone else’s username + ‘pseud’/anonymous” so we can send your card.

if you do decide to go ahead with our previous suggestions:

• knowing that you won’t be posting your works on twitter, i hope it’s clear we won’t be able to retweet them and they won’t be searchable through the tag for people to discover them in the future.

• knowing that we can’t keep track of your entries and card if you don’t post on twitter, you will necessarily have to upload your card to our “finished card submission form” when you are done with it so we can count your points.

• if points are not a concern or incentive of yours, then no problems! you can totally forget of the point above.

if you think there’s another way we can help you, let us know! but we don’t own a mail account for this event as of now.

every time you submit a work we:

• count how many new squares have been marked (you get one point per slot)

• check if you have any bingos (horizontal, vertical, and diagonal count for 5 points. border, x, and cross count for 8 points)

the moment you get a bingo or four unrelated squares marked, you may stop using your card, but if your goal is a blackout (all squares crossed) then your points are doubled, and you will get a total of 146 points.

this means that, for a blackout, we count every possible bingo in your card + all marked slots:

• 3 horizontals (15 points)
• 3 verticals (15 points)
• 2 diagonals (10 points)
• 1 border + cross + x (24 points)
• 9 squares (9 points)

this will give you a total of 73 points, but since you have a blackout your points are doubled, and your final total score is 146. 🍓

you can keep using the hashtag to tag your entries even if you post them out of time (after november 2nd), but we won’t be counting your points for the halloween mini event anymore.

[whispers] which is totally fine, points are not really that important... unless you want them to be, then be our guest!

but remember that you can finish your halloween mini bingo card with four squares or one bingo... a blackout (filling all squares) is not necessary at all.

you are very welcome to fill your card with any type of fanwork you desire! your card can be filled with fanart, fanfic (ao3/twitter drabbles), video or photo edits, and any other kind of media you can imagine, create, and post to share within the timeframe.

this means you can fill your prompts with a different type of fanwork every time, or all with the same type of media: writers might only submit written works, fanartists might only submit fanart, editors might only submit edits. of course, none of them are limited to their respective type of fanwork, but it’s always up to the creators!

this applies for all future mini events, and the main bingo event.

hello~ you will be able to request your personalized bingo card on october 21st through a google form we will be making available for you.

you’ll be providing us a twitter username of your preference while answering the card request form, and your card will be sent through twitter dms.

if you request the 21st, we’ll be sending your card the 22nd, and you can start creating from that day until next year! (you can check our schedule). but you can request a card any day as long as the card requests are open.
