hi fang i am here to say that i disagree with someone in a webtoons comment section, iseya nao does NOT take everything people say at face value. i am really not sure how they got that impression. possibly because he reacts quite badly to uh. oh i don't know how to say this thing. goshdarn. um. people Saying Things at him can send him spiraling downwards, even if they didn't actually mean it. even if they retract it later. but that's not him taking everything at face value, that's him having mental health issues going on ?? i wish i could query this person about what exactly they mean / where they got the impression that nao takes everything at face value, because that would NOT be my impression of him at all. if anything i would think that he tends to ovethink and overanalyze and worry too much about things. worry that people arent being honest with him, that they don't like him, that they're going to go back on what they tell him, etc. he takes a lot of things as worse than how they were intended, which makes sense with his backstory! god! i feel so bad for him! i had more to say but i lost it in some corner of my brain
