you mightve answered this before, but seeing as your interpretation of vanitas and his relationship to his body is so in-depth, do you think he would self pleasure? like, would the way he goes about that be any different than other people/characters, given everything, or would he just have fun and be chill w it lol
This is always such an interesting question lol. Vanitas’s sense of self and relationship to his own body is pretty dogshit so… i don’t think he completely abstains, and definitely finds it preferable to engaging intimately with other people, but like anything else about himself it’s something to be controlled and used like a tool. Sometimes it’s a bodily need that has to be taken care of with chagrin, not unlike eating and sleeping, and other times it’s something that’s withheld as self-punishment. I think he’d have a contradictory relationship with it as well, where as a doctor he can treat it clinically, but residual catholic guilt and disgust towards his own body + inability to fully control it makes him want to throw up. It’s definitely not chill in any case haha. I love my little weirdo <3
