the open ending is not for the weak but in my mind they somehow found a way out and lived happily ever after

omg anonn thank you so very much 🥹 tbh, tinderbox for a war originally wasnt supposed to have an open ending and i had a whole ending in mind which i just somehow couldnt put to paper. but the way it was also just ... made sense and i wanted to play into the angst as well so it ended up open-ended. but rest assured in my head they get their happy ending, they catch the money laundering ring and dk quits being a prosecutor and mg quits being a criminal and they DO live happily ever after ..
